Membership of the DTAA

The DTAA welcomes applications for new members at all times.
Annual membership renewals are due on July 1 every year.
To become a member of the DTAA, or renew your membership, use our online membership system.

There are five categories of DTAA membership.

1. Student member

Concession price for people studying full time only, or part-time students with no other income.

2. General member

Any person with an interest in dance-movement therapy.

3. Overseas member

Membership fee covers cost of journal and postage only (no GST included)

4. Associate member

A member who has completed an appropriate amount of dance-movement therapy training, but not reached the level of requirements for Professional Membership. Some Associate members may be in the process of working towards professional status, whilst others may opt to continue to work under other titles, using dance-movement therapy or therapeutic dance within the context of their work.

5. Professional member

A member whose completion of the requirements for professional membership status (including minimum standards of dance-movement therapy training and other requirements specific to the category of application) has been accepted by DTAA's Professional Membership Committee.
